Séria TMS570LS je založená na jadre ARM® Cortex™-R4F Floating Point, dosahujúcim až 1.6 DMIPS/MHz čo pri maximálnom taktovaní 160 MHz znamená viac ako 250 DMIPS. Séria je označovaná ako automotive. Bola certifikovaná pre použitie v bezpečnostných systémoch (IEC 61508 SIL3)
