Spoločnosť Texas Instruments Incorporated predstavila vývojový kit - C5515 Fingerprint Development Kit, určený na snímanie otlačku prsta a pre jednoduchšie aplikovanie tejto vlastnosti do Vašich zariadení.

Vývojový kit poskytuje rýchly a presný odtlačok s využitím DSP jadra, vykonávajúcim náročné funkcie v algoritme rozpoznávania otlačku ako sú filtrovanie, triedenie a transformácie.

Jadrom kitu je 16-bitový DSP procesor TMS320C5515 poskytujúci optimálny výkon pri aktívnej minimálnej spotrebe iba 0.15 mW/MHz.

Vlastnosti

• The C5515 Fingerprint Development Kit uses industry’s lowest power 16-bit fixed point DSP to help conserve energy at exceptional levels and enable longer batter life.
  
• The kit has very small form factors. The core board is 30mmx30mm to handle fingerprint image acquisition, pre-processing, feature extraction and matching functionalities. The extension board is 70mmx30mm to provide power, communication scheme and user interfaces. LED, sound indication and push buttons are provided for user interaction. The core board will be plugged into the extension board and work with sensors.
  
• Efficient fingerprint matching algorithm and optimized code to achieve short matching time and high accuracy.
  
• C5515 has 320KB large on-chip memory and high speed USB2.0 integration, which reduces system cost and extends the fingerprint features to new application areas, like USB smart key
